Hi folks,
We wanted to make a post to explain ourselves. Since September we appear to have disappeared off the face of the earth. We are still here. It's been a shitter of a time at POTN HQ, we won't lie.
Editor Quinn has been hectic with her job and personal life, and creativity has had to take a back seat. Sam has been having personal issues through the second half of 2025 with their family. And our wonderful, incredibly strong Louisa is currently undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer.
But we're still here. And we are hoping for a return in 2026 that will make up for the wait. We are proud to be members of the northern Pagan community. Our work showcases the special folklore and landscape we have alongside wonderful Northern businesses.
In 2025 we have:
Interviewed 3 of Cups Durham, Krystal Art Creations/MLD And Me, Blood Stone Books and Life's A Witch for Trader of the Month
Brought new writers on board including Lou Siday (Crystal of the Month), Aly Smith (Poetry and Creative Writing) and Clare Lesley Hughes (Plant Lore of Great Britain)
Attended local events at Newcastle Castle, talks on witchcraft, and made arrangements to take part in Wyldwood Renaissance Fayre 2026
And done all of this alongside raising kids, working jobs, undergoing cancer treatment, struggling with our mental health, acknowledging neurodivergence, trying to keep up with our own personal paths, and navigating relationships.
Now we come to the close of the year and we hope to leave negatives in the past with 2025. As a team we will be working hard to restart our regular zine as soon as possible, and will update you all with a date when we have agreed on one. We can't make any promises yet about them being released for every sabbat/solstice/equinox but we will figure out what the future of Pagans of the North looks like.
We are also focusing on the release of Quinn Green’s debut book Pagans, Witches, and Everything In Between. The book is in the final stages of editing and beta readers and we will have a release date soon!
We're hoping to strengthen our connections with the local and wider pagan community and see what this brings for us as a magazine and a community project. Putting our people and education at the focus of what we do was always the whole point of Pagans of the North and we are excited for what's coming next.
Wishing you all a blessed and peaceful new year. Here's to 2026!
Quinn, Louisa and Sam xo
