'Ritual' Event by West Art Collective


West Art Collective presents Ritual our Halloween themed art and music event with a chaotic twist, held at the legitimately haunted Antwerp Mansion!


Following from 2019's spooky session Haunt, we are taking a slightly darker detour into the minds of our artists presenting a broad line up of all things paranormal, occult, horror and magic!


Expect:

• 40 person artist exhibition

• Mo Rhythm & Day Break Audio takeover + special guests.

• Powered by the Mo Rhythm sound system

• Ghost tours of the Mansion

• Performance art from Electric Goldfish

• Activities

• Costume competition

• Pop-up stalls from The Green Witch Polly & Lux Aeterna Crafts

• Horror movie cinema

• Merch stall

• Bring your own booze (no bar)

• Bonfire

• Afterparty (bring enough booze)

Lucy (Creative Director of West Art Collective) told us: 'I used the Magician tarot card to represent its links to my beliefs and studies in Hermeticism. The principle of correspondence, also best know as the statement of as above, so below is one of the Seven Principles of Hermeticism. The Magician tarot card symbolises this principle with the hand gestures pointing to the sky and to the ground. I have reversed the tarot card to reveal a sense of chaos magic, best fitting for this event.' West Art Collective is a group of six contemporary artists based in Manchester and are the resident collective at the 200-year-old Gothic Victorian area, Antwerp Mansion. We run the Zero-Cost Exhibition Programme which consists of three projects to give creatives the chance to have a cost-free exhibiting experience. Benefits across the three projects on our programme include:
